Two weeks after PnB Rock’s murder, all three suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting.
Freddie Lee Trone, a longtime member of a South L.A. street gang, who was identified as the getaway driver, was taken into custody in Las Vegas on Thursday afternoon (Sep. 29). Freddie, 40, was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, along with two counts of second-degree robbery, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Freddie’s 17-year-old son was arrested near Gardena in Los Angeles the morning before and was identified as the shooter in the deadly robbery. He faces the same charges. Shauntel Trone, Freddie’s wife and step-mother of the minor, was apprehended shorty afterwards and booked as an accessory to the murder.
The LAPD also revealed that Freddie and his son were already at the Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles parking lot before PnB arrived, which eliminated the theory that the rapper was targeted by a geotag from an Instagram story that his girlfriend posted 20 minutes prior to the attack.
On the afternoon of September 12, PnB Rock was fatally shot during a robbery attempt while he was dining with his girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang at the Roscoe Chicken & Waffles in Los Angeles. He was 30 years old.
