Little Brother returns.
After four years since their previous release, Little Brother is back with their duo-release, “Wish Me Well” and “Glory Glory”.
“Wish Me Well” arrives alongside a music video directed by Will Stroud, which centers the Durham duo coasting over Pumah’s jazzy production. “Wish me well or call me Ishmael / Croquettes and grits, nigga, this is that fish scale,” Phonte begins from a rooftop overlooking the city alongside his partner in rhyme.
Meanwhile, “Glory Glory” finds the pair delivering their illustrious rhymes over Conductor Williams’ soulful loop. Pooh raps, “Bitter niggas bore me, all praises due / I was rocking to Kane, my brother rocked ‘caine too / Now they dope sick, I author like Beth Macy / Penmanship that drive critics and crowds crazy.”
The two-pack is Little Brother’s first music since their 2019 album, May The Lord Watch and coincides with their upcoming 20 anniversary of their stellar debut, The Listening.
In recognition of the milestone, Little Brother will be holding their Made In Durham-A Little Brother Block Party on October 7 with additional performances by Big K.R.I.T., The Cool Kids, and Zo! & Tall Black Guy.
