As Joyner Lucas preps for the release of his Not Now, I’m Busy album, the rapper releases his latest offering “Best For Me” featuring Country rap and singer Jelly Roll. It also arrives alongside its music video.
Backed by Jelly Roll’s soulful hook, Joyner touches on the turmoil of a strain relationships from addiction and life struggles.
“Living in hell, warned you when I gotta leave, like how can I breathe?,” he raps from a house occupied by a man addicted to drugs. “And how you gon’ tell me addiction’s not a disease? Fuck do you mean? / If it’s not a disease, then why has it gotten to me? It’s not what it seems / But you always be makin’ me feel like the problem’s me.”
“Best For Me” arrives following his most recent “Sticks & Stones” featuring Conway The Machine. Not Now, I’m Busy finally drops this Friday (May 22).
