Fetty Wap was arrested for allegedly brandishing a firearm during a FaceTime call and making verbal death threats.
The New York Post reports the 31-year-old rapper, born William Maxwell was taken into custody on Monday (Aug. 8) for violated the conditions of his release. The affidavit claims Fetty rang up an unidentified man back on December 21, 2021 and repeatedly threatened his life. “Imma kill you and everybody you with,” the “Trap Queen” hitmaker said before repeating “I’m gonna kill you.”
The Paterson, NJ native was currently out on a $500,000 bond while waiting trial in his federal drug case and it has since been revoked.
Last October, Fetty was among the six individuals arrested and charged with dealing cocaine, heroin and fentanyl. Five of the defendants were also charged with using firearms in connection with drug trafficking. They face a maximum of life imprisonment if convicted.
