J.Cole is putting his basketball jersey back on and his taking his talents to Canada.
On Thursday (May 19), the Canadian Elite Basketball League announced the rapper will join the Scarborough Shooting Stars as a guard for their 2022 season, which tips off Wednesday, May 25.
The 37-year-old Fayetteville native, born Jermaine Cole, played basketball in high school in North Carolina and signed with the Rwanda Patriots in the Basketball Africa League in 2021. There, he fulfilled his contractual obligation of three games, where he tallied 5 points, 3 assists and 5 rebounds in 45 minutes of three preliminary games.
Musically, J.Cole released his last album, The Off-Season in 2021 and appears on his label Dreamville’s compilation, D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape in March.
