Kendrick Lamar & SZA Lead 2025 American Music Awards Nominations

Kendrick Lamar and SZA could both be looking towards another epic award winning night.

On Wednesday (Apr. 23), CBS and Dick Clark Productions announced the nominations for the upcoming award ceremony with Kendrick Lamar leading the pack with 10 and SZA racking in six.

Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” is nominated for Song Of The Year, Favorite Music Video and Favorite Hip Hop Song, which also includes his collaboration with SZA “Luther” and his feature on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That”.

The Compton rapper, who was recently appointed the new ambassador for Chanel’s new eyewear collection, is also nominated for Artist Of The Year and Favorite Hip Hop Artist. His GNX album for Favorite Hip Hop Album, and AMA’s new category, Album Of The Year.

Among SZA’s six nods include Favorite R&B Artist, Favorite R&B Album (S.O.S. Deluxe: Lana), Favorite R&B Song (“Saturn”), Favorite Hip Hop Song (“Luther”), and more.

Not trailing too far behind are Future and The Weeknd with four nods each and Beyoncé with three.

Hosted by Jennifer Lopez, the 2025 AMAs will air live from Las Vegas on May 26 at 8 p.m. ET. Catch Kendrick Lamar and SZA on their Grand National Tour in a city near you.
