Hot Girl Night Live.
Megan Thee Stallion returned to Saturday Night Live and pulled a triple-duty as the evening’s musical performer, resident, and for her hosting debut.
The Grammy award-winning rapper displayed her alter-egos throughout the episode beginning with an epic monologue where she celebrated her recent success and accolades including her recent graduation from Southern Texas University last December. She later brought the same energy in her first of few sketches of the evening, “Hot Girl Hospital”.
For Tina Snow’s first performance of the evening, the 27-year-old superstar channeled a beauty pageant for “Ms. Anxiety” off her latest album, Traumazine. She donned a crown and an elegant red dress alongside her fellow contestants before capping off the emotional performance with tears of joy.
Hot Girl Meg later returned to the Studio 8H stage with her rugged and sexy persona for an electrifying medley of the album’s tracks “NDA” and “Plan B” in sunglasses, a black corset top and matching baggy and cut-up cargo pants.
The Grammy award-winning artist also starred in a few sketches throughout the episode including a music video “We Got Brought”, the PSA sketch “Woman’s Charity”, and the family and friend cabin retreat-inspired sketch, “Deer”. Meg continued to showcase her acting skills portraying a workout instructor in “Workout Class”, a guest on ”Girl Talk” discussing cheating boyfriends, and a student in “Classroom”, a sketch on the stereotypes of black high school students.
This marks Megan Thee Stallion’s third appearance on SNL. In 2020, she made her solo musical guest debut performing “Savage”/”Don’t Stop” and she joined Chance The Rapper in 2019 for his performance of “Handsome“, in which the Chicago rapper also hosted. Megan now becomes the 37th musician in SNL’s history to have host and perform on the show.
