Jamaican singer Shenseea says she would have no issue collaborating with Canadian rapper Drake, despite the false rumors that they were expecting a child.
Speaking with The Shade Room’s “Keep it 100” series on Friday, the Blessed singer was put on the spot about the rumors, and she completely rubbished it—once again.
“Of course! I would make a record with Drake. He’s pretty talented. So, of course—why not. I’m passionate about my music so when it comes on to stuff like that…as long as we don’t have any bad blood, let the public talk. I don’t have no problem with Drake. Of course! Why not?” she said.
“We’ve had conversations before. But to the point where they’re talking about us doing whatever? No! I swear on my life—no. That’s what got me mad ‘cause like, don’t play with my vajayjay like that.”
But, according to the 25-year-old, if you’re an admirer and if you’re wondering what the golden ticket is for her to consider batting an eyelash at you—you better approach her about business!
She made it pretty clear that if you’re sliding in the DMs, the quickest way to grab her attention would be to message her professionally.
“To get my attention in the DMs? Realistically speaking, because it has happened before, you gotta come talking about work,” she said. “Dat is my attention!” she reiterated.
“You telling me about anything that’s beneficial to my career that’s how you get my attention,” added Shenseea, whose real name is Chinsea Lee.
The entertainer, however, cautioned that she’s a hard nut to crack, and a meet-up for work doesn’t guarantee that things will advance to second base.
“If we link up for work, I might see your vibe—maybe I like it; maybe I don’t. But it depends on the energy. If you give me a weird energy I’m not even going to entertain that…and I don’t really pop up and be like ‘oh, I like you!’ from just meeting your today,” she said.
For approximately a year, dating rumors have been swirling around involving the Be Good singer and American producer London On Da Track. During a March interview on the Breakfast Club, she admitted to being boo’d up, but shut down the allegations that she was with the international producer.
“Nobody, and when I say nobody, I mean nobody knows who I’m dating. I don’t care who y’all be seeing online, you don’t know who I’m dating, that’s a fact!” she revealed at the time.
London was later seen at the Jamaican leg of her Alpha album launch party, and publicly presented her with a diamond-encrusted chain that bears her logo.
In the meantime, Shenseea did admit to being unfaithful in a past relationship to get revenge on her lover, who had admitted to cheating. In her defense, she said her zodiac sign made her do it.
“Yeah. I’ve cheated in a relationship before. But it was a case where the person cheated on me. I’m very loyal—very faithful. I don’t even flirt. I don’t find another man attractive if I’m talking to you. That’s how I am,” she said convincingly “So it’s like he cheated on me and he told me the truth because I suspected something and he told me the truth and I said, ‘bro, I really was being so good to you for a whole year. Like, I never saw you as this type of person’.”
“Being the Libra that I am and I have to balance things out, I’m the type of girl it’s either I’m gonna cheat on you or I’m gonna leave you…imma have the conversation with you before and be like yo, this is what’s bout to happen. Pick your poison,” Shenseea said.
