Skillibeng, Rvssian, Stefflon Don, Kranium And More React To PnB Rock’s Death After Fatal Shooting In LA

pnbDancehall artists Skillibeng, Stefflon Don, and Kranium, and music producers Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor and Rvssian have joined the outpouring of condolences to the family of rapper PnB Rock, who was fatally shot during a robbery in Los Angeles on Monday (September 12).

“Damn RIP PNB. Such an amazing talent and overall good person,” Di Genius tweeted today (Tuesday, September 13). “Always great energy and positive vibes everytime we worked together. Prayers up for the family.”

Responding to reports that the Philadelphia-born rapper was robbed of an “extensive amount of jewelry” during the shooting, Rvssian shared photos on IG of himself and PnB working in the studio.

On one of the slides he wrote, “All of this jewelry shxt ain’t worth it for these bums taking people lives.. @pnbrock I can’t even believe it. Bro was a happy person.”

Skillibeng took to his Instagram story to share a screenshot of a conversation he had with the rapper back in June.

In the exchange, PnB Rock wrote, “You hard asf braddah keep killin,” and Skilli responded “Brrrrrp!” and “Respect killa!!!”

Rock added, “Love bradda you killin shxt man love to see it.”

PnB Rock (real name Rakim Hasheem Allen), 30, was gunned down at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles on West Manchester Avenue, South LA at 1:15 p.m yesterday. The rapper and his girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang were reportedly inside the restaurant dining when the suspect, described as a Black male, approached Allen at gunpoint demanding “property” before fatally shooting him.

“The suspect demanded the victim’s property, shot the victim and then fled the location on foot. The victim was transported via LASD to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The incident was not believed to be gang-related,” said a LAPD spokesperson.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore said the armed robber appeared shortly after Allen’s companion, Sibounheuang, posted a photo on Instagram of their location and meal.

Nicki Minaj, who collaborated with the rapper on the 2019 single Fendi, said in a tweet on Monday that Rock “was such a pleasure to work with. Condolences to his mom & family. This makes me feel so sick.”

Drake shared a photo of the Feelins rapper on his IG Story, while others like Kodak Black, 6ix9ine, YG and OffSet expressed disbelief at his untimely passing.

Cardi B also joined in on the conversations surrounding PnB’s shooting, urging the public to be a little more considerate to the rapper’s girlfriend.

“I highly doubt nikkas was looking at P[n]B’s babymom IG. He was in a bad location and people stay outside plotting. It’s very irresponsible and inconsiderate to blame her for something so tragic. We should be sending nothing but love to her and his family at this time,” Cardi said.

PnB Rock was best known for his hit songs Fleek and Selfish; his latest single, Luv Me Again released just two weeks ago on September 2.

He has collaborated with the likes of Meek Mill (Dangerous ft. Jeremih), Kodak Black (Too Many Years and Horses) and YFN Lucci (Everyday We Lit), Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa (Gang Up) and recorded Cross Me with Chance the Rapper and British singer Ed Sheeran, who paid tribute to the rapper on Instagram Tuesday.

Rock’s record label, Atlantic Records, also honored the late rapper in a statement on the company’s official Instagram page.

“PnB Rock was more than an artist. To many, Rakim Allen was a great friend. He was also a wonderful father to two beautiful little girls.”

“This news is heavy on our hearts and we are all hurting over this senseless loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time,” the statement read.
