Fast rising dancehall artist Ssense has released a song condemning physical abuse. The new single is titled “Nuh Fight Girl.” In this new song the artist highlights the fact that if he travelled down the path of being abusive to women, his mother would be very disappointed.
“Some bwoy muss born from another earth. How dem fi wah dis mother earth. Mi nah put my hand pan no woman because it would mek Mama hurt.”
“Dancehall has always been a platform to address social issues. Ssense said. I have to use this platform to sing about the things I care about. Like taking good care of the ladies,” he continued.
“Mi give woman what dem deserve, all three meals a day mi wi serve!”
Recently branded the Ssense of dancehall, the artist is taking the world by storm. Hailing from Seaview Gardens, he emerged on the dancehall scene in 2013. Realistic, witty, crafty, aggressive is a few words to describe Ssense’s style of writing. Ssense has been getting heavy rotation on top radio stations like Irie FM, Zip FM and Suncity Radio in Jamaica with his hit song Karma.
There is no doubt that Ssense will be an artist to be reckoned with in the Dancehall Industry. In the past month he’s added songs like “Still A Wait”, “She Ugly” and “Nuh Fight Girl” to his catalogue.
He is scheduled to appear on the Philadelphia Jerk Festival in Pennsylvania on August 28th, 2016.
