Life is good.
Hot off the release of their Welcome 2 ColleGrove album, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne connect with Benny The Butcher in the project’s latest video, “Oprah & Gayle”.
Co-directed by Directed by Krispy, DJ Scoob Doo, and The Wizard, the black-and-white visual captures the three on their recent excursions while recollecting their successful journey.
“Came up on cold cuts, heart got a hole in it, bank got a roll in it / The Cessna Citation came with a pole in it,” raps Tity Boi, while Tunechi’s flexing in a room full of Grammys. “Neck look like anime or cartoons, art to ‘em / I got the spikes on the Gucci, look like Bart to ‘em / Gimmie the Nikes, lemme add some Comme Des Garcons to ‘em.”
From private jets to the Def Jam office, Benny caps off the track with his rags to riches verse. “Kinda crazy, my last bid was the shortest and she ain’t wait for me / Spent half my twenties in prison and aged gracefully.”
Welcome 2 Collegrove is the latest collaborative album from 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne featuring 21 songs including features from 50 cent, Usher, 21 Savage, Fabolous, Marsha Ambrosius, and Vory. Lil Wayne can also be heard on Benny’s latest single, “Big Dog“.
