What’s the science baby?
Money is the root of all evil on Babyface Ray’s latest release, “Money On My Mind”.
In the accompanying music video directed by Kardiak, the Detroit rapper details former friendships while cruising the streets and during a game of dice that results into a physical altercation. The clip draws inspiration from the film, Belly.
“You don’t come through and show love like you use to / You don’t pull up to the hood like you use to,” he raps while talking to a young man on a park bench. “You don’t even bust juggs like you use to / You don’t split pills and pour mud like we use to,” he continues before an attempting shooting while leaving the barbershop.
The Space-produced record is the follow-up to Babyface Ray’s most recent “Green Carpet“.
