BIA shifts her focus to her brand new single, “Lights Out” featuring JID. The release also arrives alongside its music video.
Directed by Chandler Lass, BIA opens up with an introspective verse from a rooftop and in the midst of a rave.
“Picture all those wolves out hеre made of sheep skin / Picture all my еnemies tryna be friends / Picture me tryna lead than follow these trends,” she raps as she levitates in the sky. “Pen in hand, but the words from my soul / First rap bitch you know that went back and forth with Cole.”
Meanwhile, JID joins his collaborator with a short, but stellar verse. “I got my top way back and my beat down low / We put so much in the grind ’cause we was on the ground floor,” raps the Dreamville MC. “Got a foot inside the game, so now, we kicking down the door / Niggas be clowns, you can’t come around no more.”
“Lights Out” arrives on the heels of BIA’s Cardi B-diss record “Sue Meee?” earlier this week. Meanwhile, JID released his “30 Freestyle” at the top of the year and has since collaborated with French Montana, 21 Harold, Lyrical Lemonade, and more.
