Chance The Rapper is back like he’s never left with his latest single, “Buried Alive”.
Along with the release, his self-directed video depicts the Chicago lyricist reflecting on recent struggles while attempting to break out of a coffin on what appears to be a warehouse.
“I was in a dark space, between a rock and a hard place / Knew I was alive when my heart raced,” he raps, as he finally breaks free and discovers he was in a cargo box onboard of a spaceship. He continues, “Buried alive, but very alive / They’d be very surprised to find out Harry survived.”
Earlier this year, Chance released his “I Will Be Your (Black Star Line Freestyle)“. He is currently working on his forthcoming album, Star Line Gallery.
