Cordae is back and reunites with Lil Wayne on his new single, “Saturday Mornings”. It also arrives with its matching music video.
The APLUS-directed video features a compilation of vintage footage and finds the two delivering introspective verses over a soulful soundbed by Smoke Ono and BoozDaBeast
“No cap for me, we get money like athletes / Like the eighth man on the Wizards, that’s more of a match for me / If we being completely honest, me and the mic got chemistry,” raps Cordae from outside a hanger with his co-star. He continues, “Boy, I got this down to a science, I promise you I ain’t lying / Get love in every borough, my niggas are very thorough.”
Meanwhile, Tunechi follows his lead with a fiery verse of his own. “I take a nigga life before he take the stand / Take some drugs and take off, take some when I land / You standing on business, I’m a business man / I’m a goat nigga, you a sacrificial lamb/
“Saturday Mornings” is Cordae’s first single of the year following last year’s “Make Up Your Mind“. The two previously collaborated on “Sinister” from his 2022’s From A Bird’s Eye View.
