Fresh off the release of Ghostface Killah’s new album, Set The Tone, the Staten Island rapper reunites with Nas in the video, “Scar Tissue”.
Directed by Rock Davis, Pretty Toney sets it off with his gritty and flamboyant flow from an underground fighting ring accompanied by his crew.
“Out of respect, you should break me off / Word, I stay styling silks, Ballys, and raw denim / Get your head wrapped in plastic, I’ll Boars Head ’em,” he raps over T The Human’s production. “Read niggas up and down like the court’s read ’em / Spit acid on everything, strong venom.”
Esco checks in and closes out the track with his guest verse. “Indubitably some niggas are stupid to me / Or should I refrain from calling some brothers out of they names? / Cause a king only qualify for some / You can’t call us all kings, not everybody is one.”
Set The Tone is Ghostface Killah’s Mass Appeal Records debut and his twelfth solo album. The album features 19 tracks with additional appearances by Kanye West, Raekwon, Method Man, Jim Jones, Sheek Louch, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, AZ, Ja Rule, and more.
