J.Cole reaches into the vault and takes a trip down memory lane in his new video, “Trae Tha Truth”.
Shot with a camcorder, the lo-fi video rare footage of a young Jermaine and Trae during their 2012 trip to Ibiza. It trails the two rappers working in the studio, performing on stage, and making stops throughout the Balearic island in the Mediterranean Sea.
Cole raps, “Please, somebody say I changed / All of these years done passed, I hope I ain’t still the same / All of these songs I’m on, ain’t nobody kill Jermaine / Isn’t that rather strange? I wrote a number of bad refrains / But isn’t that life, dude?”
