Video: Maino “K.O.B. (Intro)”

Think you know the King Of Brooklyn.

Maino hits the piano and takes a trip back down memory lane in his new video, “K.O.B. (Intro)”, directed by Street Heat Films’ WillC and Tana.

Accompanied with archive footage and photos, the Brooklyn rapper opens up on his humbling beginnings, relationships, and everything else in between.

“Mouse is on deck when I stepped out of prison / And he saw the hunger, told me he was wit it,” Maino raps. “Came up with a plan to get us out the kitchen / Nigga we gon’ get it / Mind on the millions / We gon’ hustle hard, I was rapping what we living.”

He also addresses his former relationship with Lil’ Kim. “Me and Kim started sleeping / Whole vibe changed / Dropped “Hit Hater”, made the whole country wave,” he recalls. “Me and shorty stopped speaking / I was petty yo / I was made she wasn’t in my video.”

“K.O.B. (Intro)”, not to get it confused with the intros off his 2014 and 2015’s, K.O.B. 2 and K.O.B 3., marks Maino’s first solo music since his 2020 album, Die A Legend. This year, he and Jim Jones released their self-titled album, Lobby Boyz.
