After nearly a two year hiatus, Roddy Ricch is back with his brand new single, “Survivor’s Remorse”.
Over Turbo’s enchanting pianos, the L.A. rapper vents on his hiatus, recent struggles, and addresses his critics.
“Imagine if I had a dollar for every time you say I fell off, I’d be a billionaire / I was blinded by survivor’s remorse, I was supposed to build, yeah,” he raps. “Still solid, still here / Still home, I done stepped on base / Pride myself off the progress of off being off codeine, I promise, it’s so hard to shake.”
The release also comes with a video directed by Spike Jordan. The blue-hued clip depicts Roddy with family, friends and alongside a choir before ending with a tribute to Nipsey Hussle and preview of a new record.
“Survivor’s Remorse” is the first single off Roddy’s forthcoming album, The Navy Album, the follow-up to his 2019 album, Excuse Me For Being Anti-Social. It will be his first official music since 2022’s Feed The Streets 3 mixtape.
