Never forget.
Tee Grizzley ushers in his new album, Chapters Of The Trenches, with the fifth installment of his “Robbery” series.
Directed by Ben Marc, Tee Grizzley learns the key witness from his robbery case has caught amnesia from his previous attempted murder, while paying her a visit at the hospital to finish the job. “Have a seat / Look in her eyes, I’m like “You don’t remember me?” / She nodded “No, I can’t really talk”, she still weak / I’m feeling relieved, I take my hand off my heat,” Tee Grizzley raps over the JR Rotem beat.
After caring for her and falling in love, she unexpectedly gets her memory back while getting proposed. “Next day, I went out and bought a wedding ring / It’s gotta be my wife, she survived and she set me free / Before I got on one knee and said “Marry me” / She pulled out a gun and said “Nigga I remember everything,” he continues to rap right before a deadly twist.
“Robbery Part 5” is off Tee Grizzley’s visual album, Chapters Of The Trenches, a 13-track set featuring a series of street narratives including “Jay & Twan“, “Ms. Evans“, “Tez & Tone“, and more.
